Saree Length — One Size Fits All

The beauty of a saree is its universality. All Womaniya sarees are woven to the Indian standard length:

• **Total length: 5.5 metres (18 feet)**
• **Blouse piece: 0.8 metres (80 cm)** included with every saree, woven from the same fabric

This is the standard saree length across India and accommodates all body types and draping styles — whether you prefer the Nivi drape, Bengali style, Seedha pallu, or any regional variation.

The Blouse Piece

Every Womaniya saree comes with a **matching 0.8m blouse piece** cut from the same handloom fabric. This is enough fabric to stitch a standard blouse:

• **Up to size 42" chest** comfortably
• For chest sizes above 42", please message us before ordering — some of our sarees can be made with an extended blouse piece (0.9m–1m) on request

The blouse piece is **unstitched** — you will need to get it stitched by a local tailor to your measurements.

Blouse Measurement Guide

When giving measurements to your tailor, take the following measurements wearing the undergarments you intend to wear:

**Tip:** Always give your tailor your actual measurements and let them add ease. A well-fitted blouse should allow you to raise your arms comfortably without pulling.

Recommended Blouse Styles for Our Sarees

Saree Fall & Pico

A **fall** (a narrow strip of fabric stitched to the inner edge of the saree) helps the saree drape better and reduces wear on the border. A **pico** (scalloped edge finishing) is done on the pallu edge. We recommend getting both done before first wearing — most tailors charge ₹80–₹150 for this service.

Petticoat & Underskirt

A petticoat (inskirt) should match the dominant colour of the saree. Standard petticoat length is 38"–42" floor length. Petticoat fabric should be smooth and lightweight — satin or cotton are ideal under handloom sarees.
